Qian Guo joined the Nanostructured Hybrid Energy Materials group in October 2017. She received her M.S. degree in Material Engineering at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Shenzhen, China after graduated from Henan University, Kaifeng, China with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. She is currently pursuing her PhD degree in the School of Engineering and Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London under the supervision of Dr. Ana Jorge Sobrido. Her PhD project focuses on developing nanostructured efficient photocatalyst materials.
In order to develop nanostructured efficient photocatalyst materials, different photocatalyst materials with different micro- and nanostructures will be developed and their structure-property relationship will be established by exploring their performance as photocatalysts for photocatalysed reactions such as H2 generation from water splitting, oxidation of organic molecules in waste water and biomass transformation to useful products.
