Dr Qian Guo

Qian Guo joined the Nanostructured Hybrid Energy Materials group in October 2017. She received her M.S. degree in Material Engineering at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Shenzhen, China after graduated from Henan University, Kaifeng, China with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. She successfully passed her PhD in March 2022 with minor corrections. Her PhD project focused on developing nanostructured efficient photocatalyst materials. During her PhD she investigated innovative approaches to enhance hematite activity for water oxidation. These included the use of a carbon dot underlayer or the deposition of Ir single atoms onto the surface of hematite thin films.

Qian is now a postdoctoral researcher at University of Manchester in the group of Prof. Irina Grigorieva. Best of luck Qian and congratulations!
